Cruise Pacific Route

The second stage of the expedition, the Pacific Route, started in March 2010 from Tauronga, New Zealand. We sailed through Cook Islands, Polynesia (Society Islands and Marquesas Islands) to Puerto Montt in Chile and then to Ushuaia in Argentina. During the stage from Puerto Montt to Ushuaia we circumnavigated the globe, sailing around Cape Horn again on 15 November 2010.
71 sailors participated in this stage, and we sailed 12.700 NM. We sailed through 3 oceans and around the three most important southern capes.
Up to now over 250 sailors have participated in our expedition and we have sailed over 40.000 NM in very varied weather conditions –warm Polynesian breezes and ice-cold subantarctic storms over 12B to name but two.
