Summary of the 2018 season

The 2018 season was one of the most successful sailing seasons for us. Already in April we set off from Albuferia.  Heading to the North via Ireland, West Scotland, Shetland, Norwegian Fjords  we arrived in Longyearbyen in Spitsbergen at the end of June. After two months of exploration of the Svalbard archipelago we have started sailing back into the South, and in beginning October park in marina Albuferia again. A few weeks of stoppage we spend for yacht maintenance and for preparing her for the ARC 2018 racing across the Atlantic ocean.

ARC 2018 planned start for November 25, we had have to delay by more than a day due to the failure of the cooling pump. Despite a large 26-hour delay at the start, we finally arrived at the finish line in 6th position in our class, catching up on the whole time loss. During the ARC we beat our record reaching 231 nautical miles daily and non-stop sailing for 11 days under the spinnaker (350 m2).

This year's winter is spent in warm Caribbean sea, easy sailing after quite an ambitious and exhausting season. As usually, Nashachata II confirmed her great naval prowess and the resistance to the sometimes surprising and unexpected manoeuvres of our brave sailors!

Summary in the 2018 season, over 140 sailors took part, sailing nearly 14,000  Nautical miles!

Congratulations on all the wonderful cruises and welcome to board in 2019!
