The yacht domesticating
2011.10.04
Yesterday at 11-ish Jim, the official MCA surveyor, paid us a visit to perform a periodical check – today we'll get the protocols. The weather is not of a pampering kind, the rain's falling horizontally but from time to time we can see single rays of sun. Last night we visited a typical Shetland pub – Gurkha. On a bottle of beer carrying the same name (Gurkha, I mean) you can clearly see a description ”piwo”. The wind sits as crazy, up to 35 kt in port but still we can see the exit. The weather forecast is optimistic, it should be quieter tomorrow. The heating in the mess works properly so at least we can warm up inside. We are learning the yacht systematically with a great progress – hey, we managed to start the stove ;-) Plans for today – fuel tanking, shopping and further taking over the yacht.
