Cruise "Over Green Islands" - Greenland 2015

Cruise "Greenland 2015" is a continuation of our three-year expedition "Through the Green Islands". This time it starts uncharacteristically, in Albuferia , located in the hot southern coast  of Portugal, Algarve.  First longest  leg  will take nearly 2500 Nm, through  evergreen Madeira to the  Azores and it will be finished  in the end of May in Narsarsuag, southwest of Greenland. Then, in the subsequent legs we will keep going to the North. Depends  weather and ice condition  we will  turn back , hopefully visiting  Thule (Qanaaq) and  in the end of  arctic summer we will begin our return route. Along the way we will be in Reykjavik, Faroe Islands, Lerwick and Dublin and finally baan to Lymington in the English Channel. Autumn is the go through the Bay of Biscay to the winter dock again in the already well-known to us Albuferia marina.

All stages will be led by experienced skippers who knows the yacht and the northern Arctic waters as well.

Nashachata II is a 67-foot steel boat eminently suitable for the special circumstances of our sailing grounds in the High Arctic. Nashachata II has 12 guest berths - there are 6 cabins for 2 people and 2 toilet/shower compartments. Nashachata II is excellent for longer trips as there is a huge storage area for food and equipment. And with tanks holding 1600 litres of fuel  ,1250 ltrs of water, we can go a long way if the wind drops for any length of time. Nashachata II holds the English MCA certificate for category 0 (unlimited sailing). So the boat and equipment are checked annually by a British surveyor.
