Nashachata II- Drake Passage 2016/2017 -Atlantyk
Dates: from 2016.04.29 to 2016.09.06

Sailing was one of the main drivers of the development of European culture and civilization. As space exploration in the 20th century have contributed to advances in technology, so the Portuguese expedition initiated the development of navigation, advances in technology in shipbuilding, and by the way the discovery of new lands, and the recognition of previously unknown species of flora and fauna. This in turn made it possible to draw a new map of our New World. We decided to take as patrons of the various legs of our next expedition in the 2016/2017 year, the most famous sailors of past eras. We will start In May from Albuferia in the Algarve with crew set off under the patronage of João Gonçalves Zarco heading for Madeira and the Azores. From the beginning of October 2016 years we sail from Cabo Verde on the Atlantic route of Amerigo Vespucci, would soon wrap to Receive in Brazil and then to Riode Janeiro. In 2017 year we will sail to Antarctica. So the British sailors, including the famous Captain Drake, and captains Fitzroy and Ernest Shackleton will patronize the Antarctic cruises. Sailing with the Association of Concept Sailing yacht s / y Nashachata II will allow you to get to know these new, for many of you unfamiliar lands and look at them for a while from the perspective of our great predecessors.

Our goal is Qaanaag (Thule), the northernmost settlement in Greenland. The Innu continue to live here like ages ago, when hunting and fishing was essential for survival in this harsh climate. On the way we will see great Disco Bay Icebergs anchored in front of Ilulissat (Jakobshavn). Green summer will come to an end quickly and in August we will begin the return trip visiting on our way the Faroe Islands, green island of Ireland, and by the end of October we will get to Portugal and dock in the most colourful marina in Europe, Albufeira. Sailing through the green islands of the Atlantic we cannot omit the Cape Verde Islands... but it will be in the next year.
